Dr. Adel K. El-Naggar is a Professor and Section Chief of Head and Neck Pathology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. El-Naggar is the also the Director of the Head and Neck Pathology Fellowship. He received his M.D. degree from the Ein-Shams School of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt and research and pathology training at Vanderbilt and Case Western-Reserve University in Nashville and Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. El-Naggar is anEditor-in-Chief of the Head and Neck Oncology Journal and a member of several editorial boards of pathology, oncology and head and neck medical journals. He is also a member of national and international committees and cooperative groups in head and neck tumors. Dr. El-Naggar has authored and co-authored 610articles, 55 editorials and 10 book chapters on pathology of the head and neck. His main research efforts are focused on molecular genetic characterization of head and neck and salivary carcinomas and biomarker integration in clinical management of patients with these tumors.

Prof. Beebe received a BS in Zoology, Ohio Univ., Athens (1970); toured the Northern United States on his motorcycle, then become a Peace Corps Volunteer (British West Indies, 1973-1975) before receiving a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology), Medical College of Ohio (1982), now Toledo University School of Medicine. He was Post-Doctoral Fellow / Associate at Howard Hugh Medical Institute, Dept Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Vanderbilt (1982-1986); a Fulbright and Marshal Scholar, Oslo (1986-1988); Assistant (Gynecology), Associate (Pediatric / Physiological Sciences), Professor, Eastern Virginia Medical School (1989-2007); and now a Professor in the Center for Bioelectrics, Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA, who served as IACUC chair for 13 years (2010-2023). According to a Stanford study, he was included in the top 2% of most cited scientists in his field worldwide over the last 4 years. He is a member of Sigma Xi.

I am a physician-scientist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology. I have received my MD/PhD from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany and have completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Duke University. Further, I have completed a clinical Residency in Radiation Oncology at Washington University in St. Louis. My laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms of cellular responses to DNA damage induced by radiation and chemotherapy. The primary aim of the laboratory is to define the molecular pathways involved in DNA damage response that can be modulated to improve treatment outcomes in cancer patients In particular, my research focuses on the regulation of DNA damage response by epigenetic changes. The ultimate goal of my research is to identify cancer-specific epigenetic signaling pathways that can be targeted to sensitize tumors to different treatment modalities.

Dr. med. Ilija Golubović, born in 1989 in Leskovac, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Niš in 2014, where he completed his specialization in abdominal surgery in 2020, and works at the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery of the Clinic for Digestive Surgery of the University Clinical Center of Niš, where he deals with the treatment of benign and malignant tumor in the abdominal organs. Since 2020, he has a license to work as a doctor in Germany (Die deutsche Approbation als Arzt, Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart). He is a member of the Hilandar Medical Society, as well as the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (The European Association for Endoscopic Surgery).

Prof. Salem has been a Professor of Immunology at Tanta University, Egypt, since 2006 and previously served as Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA (2001–2010). An expert in Immunology and Cancer Immunology, he holds a BSc in Zoology (1984), MSc in Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy (1989), and PhD in Immunology (1995). Prof. Salem is a prominent leader in scientific research, holding roles such as Chair of the Council for Scientific Culture and Knowledge and Founding Director of the Center of Excellence in Cancer Research at Tanta University. His research focuses on cancer immunotherapy and tumor prognosis, earning him numerous prestigious national and international awards, including the State Medal of Sciences and Arts from the President of Egypt. Prof. Salem has supervised over 110 graduate students and delivered more than 120 scientific talks worldwide. Additionally, he is a writer and novelist and a member of the Egypt Writers Union.

Dr Darwin Eton is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.Sc., MSc.) in 1978 and New York University Medical School (M.D.) in 1982. He initiated this project in 1999 at University of Miami where he was Professor and Chief of Vascular Surgery. He continued the clinical work as Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago. This project won the Cures Within Reach Award in 2016. The proceeds were used to fund a confirmatory study at University of Illinois at Chicago, where Dr Eton had a Voluntary Professor appointment in Surgery. He started Vasogenesis Inc (Boston MA), where he presently serves as the Chief Research and Medical Officer. He has authored 45 peer review publications, book chapters, and books in Vascular Surgery, and has been an invited speaker in USA and internationally.

Pedro Fonte is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Algarve, Portugal, and an integrated member of the Center of Marine Sciences (CCMAR). He is also a contributing researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences, University of Lisbon. With a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Nanotechnologies) and an MBA, his research focuses on drug delivery systems, biopharmaceuticals, regenerative medicine, and entrepreneurship in pharmaceutical product development.
